It will be held at Mountain Run Farm, 1228 Charlemont Rd, Sedalia VA
and it is to honor the animal rescue legacies of
Edmund Coffey and Nancy Johnson
the original Bedford County Animal Rescue Warriors 
The fundraising benefits four Bedford County animal rescues
All American Mutt Rescue
Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter
Bedford Humane Society
Community Pet Coalition

We hope many of you will be able to attend the event, but understand that there
is a lot going on!  But we didn't want you to miss out on the chance to
get tickets for some sweet raffle baskets donated by AAMR volunteers.
All baskets will be at the May 17 event.
Tickets are $3 each or 2/$5 
Get your tickets at the event or online ... see details below!  (If you get tix online, please consider adding $0.50 per $3 or $5 to help offset convenience fees.)
Drawings will be held Fri May 23 at noon and winners will need to
meet AAMR volunteers to pick up in Bedford or Lynchburg!

 Our Every Day Wish List ...

Dog food (we use mostly high quality chicken, salmon or lamb foods with no corn, wheat or soy)  

Milk Bone dog treats (prefer the minis, smalls or medium)

Chicken broth (Unsalted only, please)

Cleaning supplies - especially bleach, Odo-Ban, lemon-scented disinfecting cleaners

Paper towels

Durable toys such as Kongs, Nylabones, Bully Sticks, and hard rubber toys that will withstand heavy chewing and bleach sanitizing.

Statistically it is more difficult for rescues to place animals over 2 years old, animals with any special physical or medical needs, animals of certain breeds, and animals that are black - especially if they are also large.   

But we believe 'Less Adoptable' Pets Rule

Here are just a few reasons we love "special" pets:

* Older pets are mellower - you don't have to worry about your lamp getting knocked over!

* Physically challenged pets are often unaffected by their handicap - but you still look like a hero when you rescue them!

* With "bad reputation" breeds, you get the chance to prove people wrong with your great dog!

* Dark-furred pets make it easy to accessorize - black goes with everything!

* Pets with behavioral issues allow you to form a tight bond as you overcome obstacles together!

* Big dogs are easier to find when it's time to go to the vet!
