GOOSE HAS A NEW HOME! YAY! THIS SWEET MAN IS NOW A HAPPY HAPPY PUP!
His new Mom is a professor at Longwood University, and Goose gets to go to work with her most days ... and sometimes even to class! Happy Life Sweet Goose.
Hi … my name is Goose and here are some things you need to know about me:
Approximate age/birthdate: born ~ 2007 (yep ... the numbers say 'senior' ... the attitude does not)
Weight/size: 4.5 lbs
Housebroken: YES if taken out regularly (tiny dog, tiny bladder)
Crate trained: YES
Personality: sweet, happy, curious, loving life
Energy level: low to medium (he can be a little man on the go)
Fenced yard required?: DEFINITELY PREFERRED – he likes to leisurely wander around outside and explore
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk: YES
Obedience training: NO
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES – he doesn’t ‘play’ but he interacts appropriately with other dogs. He really wants to be to 'head dog' in the house, but he gets it when others either won't let him be or if they ignore him.
Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster care
Good with children: Has not been around children, but we think he would find active youngsters a bit stressful. He is a ‘little old man’ and is very happy with a calm, quiet environment.
Adoption donation: $75
Sweet Goose … not a tooth to be found, a tongue that sticks out, and just as happy as a clam! This boy doesn’t seem to have a care in the world, and we don’t think he has a clue that he is a ‘mature gentleman.’ He can surely scoot along at a good pace when you take him for a walk. And his new family MUST provide some small, soft fleece blankets because he loves to curl up underneath them to sleep. He is such a great little companion. He’s curious and likes to investigate everything and he will let out a bark if he thinks you’re ignoring him. What a sweetheart!
If you think Goose might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Goose picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
