Congratulations sweet Grady! We know you will have a great life with your wonderful new Mom and two fur-siblings she also adopted from AAMR ... Jake and Sabastian!
Hi … my name is and here are some things you need to know about me! After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
I am a very, very shy guy. I wish I could I talk and tell you about my early life so you could understand why I get so scared of things … and why I piddle on myself when I am really scared. I was picked up wandering around scared and alone by some people in uniforms. They took me to a place with lots of other dogs and cats. It was loud and I was scared … and as it turned out, I was also sick with a respiratory infection. It took a while, but I am well now and I am ready to start my new life … my happily-ever-after.
I want to be happy. I really love my foster family, but I want a family of my very own to love and feel secure with. I want a family who will be patient with me and help me build my confidence and restore my trust in humans. Could you be the person who will love me?
Approximate age/birthdate: born ~ mid 2016
Weight/size: 25 lbs
Housebroken: Working on it … he still piddles when he is scared
Crate trained: YES and he seldom has accidents in his crate
Personality: Super shy, sweet, happy
Energy level: Medium … he just has not come out of his shell yet
Fenced yard required?: YES … no exceptions … his fear would definitely make him a flight risk
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk: YES
Obedience training: NO
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES … he is a submissive personality and will not do well with a very dominant dog
Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster home. Would be terrified if they hissed at him or smacked him, but might want to chase if they ran.
Good with children: We think he would be ok with older children who are calm, gentle and respectful. He is probably not ready to handle a lot of loud activity and rough housing
Adoption donation: $175
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Grady picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
