Hi … my name is Grizzly and here are some things you need to know about me!  After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.

Grizzly (such a misleading name) is such an adorable gentleman with a great disposition and great manners.  He is just so cute with his sweet, expressive face, and he is as sweet as he is cute.  He is quiet and calm, yet he plays and gets excited about life with his humans and his doggy playmates.  ‘Good boy’ does not adequately describe him.  ‘Really really good boy’ is closer!  He is a happy little fella who has grown up being loved, and now he is looking for a new forever home so he can continue being loved!

Approximate age/birthdate:  ~2014
 
Weight/size: ~16 lbs

Housebroken:  YES … as long as you do your part and take him outside often

Crate trained:  YES … and he seldom has accidents in his crate if taken out regularly

Personality:  sweet, loving, a bit on the quiet/reserved side

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?:   YES so he has a safe place to explore and play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  YES

Obedience training:  No … but we think he could be a star in an obedience class

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES … he is such a submissive boy and he goes out of his way to avoid conflict.

Social with cats: He grew up with a cat, so we think he would probably be OK

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up. 

Adoption donation:  $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Grizzly picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
