Oh my! I do believe I see a little chi girl who is going to be very spoiled! Congrats Miss Lucy on finding your new forever family! Happy life little one.
Hi … my name is Lucy and here are some things you need to know about me! After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
Cuteness overload alert! This little bundle of wiggles wrapped in fur is almost too cute for words. Born mid-October, 2018, this baby girl has a huge personality in her little bitty body, and she is absolutely not your stereotypical Chihuahua. She is very social and loving and happy to be with people as well as other dogs. We know she had at least two other pups with her in her previous home and all of them were absolutely loved.
Approximate age/birthdate: October 15, 2018
Weight/size: 7 lbs … will probably be no more than 10 lbs full grown
Housebroken: Working on it … sometimes she gets busy playing and forgets where she is. If you do your part and take her outside regularly, she will do great.
Crate trained: YES and she seldom has an accident in her crate as long as she gets outside regularly
Personality: sweet, loving, playful, busy
Energy level: medium with bursts of high
Fenced yard required?: YES because she is tiny and she is fast and she is still learning about boundaries and coming when she is called. The fence will provide her a safe place to play and explore off-leash. She should never be outside off-leash or unsupervised. (Remember she is also tiny enough for hawks or other birds of prey to swoop down and carry off)
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk with manners: Learning. She does pretty well on leash but still gets excited when she wants to take off and explore.
Obedience training: No … but she is so social, we think she would really enjoy going with her human to an obedience class.
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES
Social with cats: She grew up with a cat, so we think she would probably be OK
Good with children: Due to her size, she will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.
Adoption donation: $225
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Lucy picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
