December 29, 2019 is the day sweet Abby got her very own family.  Happy life sweet girl ... you are loved!

Hi … my name is Abby and here are some things you need to know about me!  After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.

Abby is just a super cute pup.  We think she is some sort of terrier/hound mix, but we know she is an absolute lovebug.  She is full of puppy energy and sweetness and love and curiosity and playfulness.  Her mom is a little terrier mix (about 30 lbs) and dad is a mystery man.  Abby looks a lot like her mom and has the same sweet, loving temperament.

Check out those beautiful markings on Abby’s ears and the way her nose looks like a heart.  And those legs!  Her Dad must have been taller because her Mom doesn’t have those long legs!  This girl will just melt your heart and make you want to snuggle with her … and she is will snuggle with you and give you the best kisses. And she loves to play … so she would love to go home with an active family that will include her in all the fun stuff!

Approximate age/birthdate:  born 4 28 2019

Weight/size:  adult size guesstimated 30-35 lbs

Housebroken:  Working on it and doing well!

Crate trained:  YES … she goes all night with no potty accidents and sleeps quietly

Personality:  a little shy at first, happy, playful, loving

Energy level:  normal puppy energy … goes from a full run to sound asleep!  She will do best with an active family who will take out on fun adventures to help her get enough exercise and to keep her well-socialized!

Fenced yard required?:   Always preferred.  Must be leash walked if not in a fenced area.  Her curious little hound nose may take her places she should not be.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  Learning

Obedience training:  NO

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … a little stressed at first, but settles in for the ride   

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats: Has not been around cats in foster care.  With her puppy energy and curiosity, she would probably chase if they ran!

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.  And will need to be taught which toys are hers and which toys are for the kids!

Adoption donation: $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Abby picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
