Hi … my name is Sanjo and here are some things you need to know about me!  After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online. (AAMR does not have a shelter where you can come see the pups, so please complete your application.)

Sanjo found himself in ‘doggy jail’ when a Good Samaritan found him wandering.  No owners ever came to get him, so he came to AAMR where he likes being able to live with a foster family until his forever family comes along.  This little fella is pretty happy and easy-going and will probably adapt pretty easily to the right new loving family.  He’s pretty chill and easy to live with.  Do you need a new lovebug in your life?

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  sweet, friendly, easy-going, loveable           

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred so Sanjo has a safe place to explore off-leash.  He should never be allowed to be outside off-leash unless inside a fenced area.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  YES

Obedience training:  NO

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats: Interested in cats but doesn’t seem to want to do them harm

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Sanjo picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
