Sweet Gabby has found her family! On May 14, 2022, Gabby was adopted by a wonderful family who has two other pups adopted from AAMR! Mollie is a mature lady and Lucy is a younger girl who has taken Gabby 'under her wing' and she's being a great big sister. Gabby also has two new human siblings in addition to a terrific Mom and Dad. Happy Life little girl!
Hi … my name is Gabby! Please take a minute to read my entire bio to find out everything you need to know about me.
If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online.
Gabby is quite the princess/Tasmanian Devil! She and her family had a rough start, but once they got settled into foster care, life took a turn for the better. She is a sweet puppy, full of snuggles and kisses and curiosity and energy. She loves playing with toys and her siblings, but her most favorite thing to do is eat. Best of all, she is happy and she knows she is loved. Now all she needs is the perfect family to love her forever!
Gabby looks nothing like her Mom, Lacey, who is a beautiful boxer mix girl, about 40 lbs. She does, however, look a lot like the male dog that was in the home that we think might be Dad. He is a lab/border collie mix, also about 40 lbs.
Things Gabby would love to have at her new forever home:
A physically fenced yard so she has a safe place to play and explore
A family who will commit to loving her and teaching her all the things she needs to know to be a good girl.
A family who will make her a real family member and include her in all the family fun.
Approximate age/birthdate: Dec 8 2021
Weight/size: Our guess is that her adult size will be around 40 lbs based on the size of her mom and the fella we think is the dad to the litter
Housebroken: Not yet
Crate trained: Will stay in a crate but will still go potty in the crate
Personality: Sweet, friendly, snuggly, playful, curious, ready to explore
Energy level: typical puppy … full speed to sound asleep in a minute
Fenced yard required?: Definitely preferred so she has a safe place to play outside.
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk with manners: Just learning to walk on leash. Youngsters should always wear a harness rather than just a collar to prevent damage to the trachea from pulling as they learn leash walking skills.
Obedience training: NO … but most puppies are ready for basic obedience classes by the time they are 6-8 months old.
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: The puppies have only socialized regularly with their mom and littermates. They seem to be interested in their foster friends, but a little intimidated by them. They will interact with more of the other pups as all their puppy shots are completed.
Social with cats: Have not met any cats yet!
Good with children: Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.
Adoption donation: $250
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Gabby picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
