Mylo is a sweet senior boy who is looking for a new forever home.  Mylo came to AAMR originally when his owner became ill and could not care for him.  He was adopted into a new home where he was loved so much, but fast forward a few years and his new Mom passed away.  Fast forward a few more years and his Dad became seriously ill, and Mylo was returned to AAMR when Dad could no longer care for his beloved pets. So you can see that this sweet, sensitive boy has had his share of heartbreak in his life, and he has known a lot of loved.  He is still active and loving and ready to find a very special family to love him through his golden years.  Could that be you?

Here are some very important things you need to know about Mylo

Approximate age/birthdate:  June 30, 2012

Weight/size: 16 lbs

Housebroken:  YES as long as you do your part and take him out regularly

Crate trained:  YES

Personality: a little reserved at first but sweet and loving

Energy level:  medium 

Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred.  He should never be outside of a fenced area without being on a leash and harness.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  None, but he does listen well (most of the time)

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES
 
Social with other dogs:  YES – he is definitely not an ‘alpha’ dog and has lived with both large and small dogs. He prefers living with smaller dogs.

Social with cats:  Has ignored the cats so far with older, respectful children.  No children under 10, please.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Mylo picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
