Looks like sweet Ginger has found the perfect forever home! Her new Mom is a doxie lover and her new doxie sibling, Bucky, was also adopted from AAMR several years ago. Oh the stories they can share! Happy Life little one!
Hi … my name is Ginger! Please take a minute to read my entire bio to find out everything you need to know about me.
If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online.
Oh my … what a little bundle of love and energy! If you’re a dachshund lover, Ginger could be your girl. This lucky little girl has known love her entire life and was only given up by her original owner due to her own health issues. It is joyful to watch this little one run, ears flapping in the wind! Ginger is full of wiggles and snuggles, and she is sure she is the ‘leader of the pack’ or ‘the boss’ most of the time. She is happy-go-lucky and vocal (as all doxies are), and she is so ready to find her perfect family.
Date of birth: August 3 2022
Weight/size: 11 lbs
Housebroken: YES as long as you do your part and take her out often
Crate trained: YES although she prefers being out of the crate and exploring
Personality: sweet, happy, loving, playful … and she loves to hoard ALL the toys she can find, especially the Nylabones because she loves to chew on them
Energy level: medium … she is very active, but not ‘crazy active’
Fenced yard required?: Definitely preferred so she can get plenty of outside exercise
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk with manners: Still working on it and getting better … she loves being ‘free’ and will not always come when called
Obedience training: No but she is very smart and would probably really enjoy taking a class or two
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES – prefers smaller dogs over larger dogs
Social with cats: unknown but she would probably enjoy chasing them
Good with children: Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up. Her energy may be too much for younger children and their activity and noise might be too much for her. She has been around adults her whole life.
Adoption donation: $300
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Ginger picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
