Personality:  happy, easy-going, sometimes a little reserved until she gets to know you

Energy level: medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   Strongly recommended so she has a safe place to play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK      

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs?:  YES

Social with cats?:  YES

Good with children?:  Has not been around children while in foster care but seems like she would probably be OK with older, respectful children.  She may not be tolerant of the activity and noise of a household with small children.

Lucy is an absolute sweetheart.  She has the face of a yorkie and is more the size of a mini poodle.  She is a happy and fun-loving - just a silly little girl.  She is very smart and easy to live with.  She just wants to be somebody’s snuggle buddy.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 10-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Lucy picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
