Here are some very important things you need to know about Lil Bit
Approximate age/birthdate: June 13, 2011
Weight/size: 8 lbs
Housebroken: Yes if you do your part and take him out every 3-4 hours … he’s still young and has a small bladder
Crate trained: YES
Personality: sweet, loving, happy, clingy … once he gets to know you and trust you. He and his sister were so scared when they were dropped off at the local pound, but both are making great progress learning to enjoy meeting new people.
Energy level: bouncy, medium energy but loves to cuddle
Fenced yard required?: Definitely recommended as he needs a place to run and play off-leash and learn to interact appropriately with people.
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk: YES
Obedience training: No
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK – still gets a little anxious at first but is getting better
Spayed/neutered: YES
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Microchipped: YES
Social with other dogs: YES but will yap at larger dogs that intimidate him. Once he realizes they’re friendly, he’s fine.
Social with cats: YES – likes to play with the cats
Good with children: Respectful, gentle children will find him to be a loving companion. He has met several youngsters and has been fine with them. Too much loud, roughhousing might intimidate him.
Adoption donation: $175

If you think Lil Bit might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online. Please review our adoption process at http://www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/info/adoption and contact us if you have questions about the process.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Lil Bit picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions.
