Leash walk:  Walks well on leash and will go potty on leash

Obedience training/knows any commands?:  Knows ‘sit’ and ‘come’

Social with other dogs:   Yes but does have food and toy guarding issues

Social with cats:  Likes to bark at them and will chase if they will run

Other important things you need to know about Hunni Bunni: He is a small cocker spaniel with a big personality.  He grew up in a house full of other small dogs.  He’s very smart and will try to ‘play’ you if you want him to do something he’s not interested in.  He is a grooming challenge and we are working on this.  He doesn’t like to have his belly, feet or face trimmed.  Needs a groomer with lots of patience.  He is a great little guy and just wants a family of his very own to love him forever!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

 

When your reference checks are completed and your application is tentatively approved, we will schedule a home visit and a meet-and-greet to see if Hunni Bunni picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption contract to be signed and a requested adoption donation.
