Hi Everybody … my name is Jasper and I’m a Maltese boy.  Let’s get to the point … I want a home and family of my very own!  I may be mixed with a little something else because I’m 8.5 pounds, but I am the happiest little guy around.  My birthday is December 20, and I was born in 2008.  I’m a grown up boy, but I still like to play like a puppy.  I’m a snuggly boy and I love to spend lots of time with my people, but I still have a lot of wiggles and energy going on.

My foster mom uses the words ‘happy,’ ‘joyful,’ and ‘spoiled’ to describe me.  I’m not sure what that means, but I really do enjoy life.  I’m a nosy little guy … I don’t plan to miss anything.  I love grown up people, and if I know I can trust kids not to hurt me or chase me, I can do pretty good with some of them.  I’m little and sometimes I’m afraid of too much noise and activity that I don’t understand.

I really enjoy going for long walks on my leash, and I love running around like a wild man inside the fenced yard.  Some days I get the zoomies … and after I get all that out of my system, I’m ready to chill. I don’t like being loose in big open areas where I don’t feel safe and I’m not sure where to go.  I sort of panic and just run and there’s no telling where I’ll end up … so I need a family who will protect me and keep me safe. A new home with a fenced yard is at the top of my wish list.  I also like to go for rides with my family.

I’m a cutie pie and I know it and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE being the center of attention.  I would really like to be an ‘only child’ because I don’t like sharing attention.  I am sorta ok being around some small dogs but I do not like big dogs and my foster mom says I ‘act like a bad boy’ when I even see a big dog. It isn’t pretty.  I have been around cats at my foster home and I’ve learned to respect them because they can hurt me with those sharp things on their paws.  I confess … I will try to steal their food if they aren’t looking!

I am up-to-date with all my vet care including being neutered and microchipped.  I am heartworm negative and already on my monthly preventatives.  I’m really ready to go home with someone who will love me forever!

My adoption fee is $175 … and I’m soooooo worth it.   And my foster mom says I have papers …. Adoption Papers!

Note from the AAMR Adoption Committee:  We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet and home visit to see if Jasper picks you too.
