Jake is just tooooooo cute. He is a stocky little boy and he’s such a happy little guy! When he wags, he wags all over and you can see the smile on his face. He wants to play and he’s very curious about everything. He is just a jewel waiting for the right family to claim him!
Jake is sometimes a little shy ... even cautious ... when meeting people … especially new men. Of course we don’t know anything about his background, but we have learned that he will become a bit territorial unless he has a strong ‘pack leader’ to teach him how things really work in the ‘good’ real world. We think he will do best in a household with another dog (but no more than 2 other dogs) that is confident and easy-going so he would feel no need to try to be the boss. He is great with other dogs, but is very exciteable. His play style is a little rough sometimes and the more dogs that are around, the more excited he gets. He’s cute as a button and sweet, but seems like he has no self-confidence so he can use a buddy to lean on. He would love to have a family who would take him everywhere with them so he doesn’t miss anything!
If you think Jake might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Jake picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
