Maggie is an absolutely adorable little girl. She is around 1-½ years old, weighs around 45 pounds and is the true ‘all-American mutt.’ Since she was rescued from a shelter, we can only guess her breed mix. She’s long and low, like a bassett, she has a rich, beautiful black and tan coat, and she has many of the working habits of a border collie. She even has little retriever waves behind her ears. 

Maggie has the cutest, most inquisitive facial expressions and you can tell if she’s really paying attention by how alert her ears are. She is medium-to-high energy level and is very playful, but she always has time to slow down enough to get a belly rub. Maggie is also very smart and very trainable and she learns very quickly. She plays well with other dogs (although she tries to herd them all where she wants them to go) and she is curious about the cat, but never tries to hurt her. She really loves people. Maggie will do best with an active family and she really needs a fenced yard so she could play safely off-
leash. She would also be the star of an agility class!

Maggie is housebroken, crate trained and walks on leash. She is also spayed and up-to-date on her shots. One note: Maggie is not a great rider; she does get carsick.
