Social with other dogs:  YES … typical doxie … he’ll bark to tell them he’s the boss

Social with cats:  Has not been around cats

Goofy is just a goof ball, and he really wants a family of his very own to love him forever.  His silliness and lovebug attitude will make you smile. His life has been a bit of a challenge to this point, but you’d never know it by his happy, loving attitude.

He is such a sweet, loving doxie boy with the typical joyful outlook on life.  He has spent all his life in a small crate, so freedom is new to him and learning to walk on a leash is a totally new experience … but he’s getting it.  He’s been fully vetted, including a badly needed dental, so now he’s ready for the good times to begin.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Goofy picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
